Pros: Excellan quality of workmanship. The ball comes off the face with a clean crisp sound.

Cons: I am short with long arms and a club with 4 degree flat lie is a much better fit for me.When I ordered the club I was informed that 2 degrees flat was maxium lie change that could be had. I decided to go forward with the purchase to my regret. The Newport 2 is a heavier club than my previous club ( Ping G2I Anser 32 1/2' with 4 degree flat lie ). I have found that with the Newport I started having distance control problems being too long and hitting my putts to the left. I have tried to compensate but have returned to my Ping. I find it hard to believe that a club that costs this much can't be made to more varried specs.

Scotty Cameron Studio Newport 2 Quality: Excellant quality of construction and materials.

Review & Rating Summary:
There is no doubt that the Scotty Cameron Studio Newport 2 is a quality piece of work but it is only as good as the person using it can make putts with it. When by virtue of it's configuation it makes it more difficult to putt well with, then no matter how well it is machined and assembled it is at best only a fair piece of equipment. My praise to Ping as they still seem to be the only manufacture that recognizes that we aren't all built the same and trying to play with a club that does not fit, no matter how well it may be manufactured, is at best going to result in one never being able to play to the best of their ability.

Game Description: I have been playing for over 50 years. My strength has been my short game and putting while driving and long approach shots are my weakness.

Average Score For 18: Right Around 100
