Fees and Costs associated with this course:
$65 green fee with cart. Subtract $15 is you think you can walk this course, which is not easy.
History of the golfer who played this course:
Been playing for about 6 years. Was playing about twice a month until last year, when I stopped playing almost entirely. Only played 3 rounds all year.
Specific likes about this course:
This is a course set up against the foothills of the Rockie Mountains. Lots of great views and elevation changes. Not a course I'd want to walk due to being up and down hill so much. Elevated tee boxes give you a great view of the hole ahead of you. The slope of some of the greens will give you fits if you don't hit the right level.
Dislikes about this course:
My biggest complaint about this course is the poor practice range, you can only hit off mats, no grass area. The putting green makes up for it as it's hugh with lots of chances ot work on your up or down hill putts.
Is this course worth the fees?
The cost is more than I normally pay for a round of golf, and I prefer to walk rather than ride, so the total cost is quite a bit more. But with the course being so nice, it's well worth the price a few times a year.
19th Hole: What extra amenities did this course offer?
There is a nice restaurant on site, and we did have a drink. Real nice view of the area from the restaurant.
Summary and opinions of this golf course:
This is about my favorite up scale golf course to play. I highly recommend it to anyone that comes to Colorado to play golf. When the GGR Invitational was here in 2006 and 2007, I made it a point to play this course with the other site members.
