History of the golfer who played this course:
Been playing for 27 years, and handicap is 5.2 currently. Putting can be hit or miss, chipping and iron play usually good.

Specific likes about this course:
The recent economic downturn has not affected how well they keep up this course. Played in just over 4 hours (weather may have scared people off this day, usually 4.5+ on a weekend. Former PGA tour stop. Short yardages for today's big hitters, but lots of trees place a premium on accuracy. The par 3 4th hole is a love or hate kind of hole. You have to play it to know.

Dislikes about this course:
the 4th hole, to me, is out of hand. Time for some major tree pruning. Aside from that, love the holes and variety. Course was in good condition and the greens, while slightly bumpy, rolled pretty well and were in good shape overall.

Is this course worth the fees?
Given the variety of holes, the history of this course, and the solid test of golf it is, Keller is an excellent value. A municipal course which plays nicer than some of the others around.

19th Hole: What extra amenities did this course offer?
Did not partake in the snacks, although beverage carts did stop for our group multiple times.

Summary and opinions of this golf course:
If you are in the St. Paul area and want to get a round in that's reasonably priced, challenging, and has a slice of history thrown in, Keller is hard to beat. Just watch out for errant shots, as many tees are in precarious places that see many errant shots land in the vicinity.
