Specific likes about this course:
this is a pretty walkable course. It is your typical city course where many holes are parallel to each other which makes recovery from not so great shots very possible. The greens are typically in good shape and quick. Scoring well is pretty possible on this course. The finishing hole is one of the toughest Par 4's in the area. All uphill to an elevated green with tight fairways. Par is a great score.

Dislikes about this course:
Pace of play can be pretty slow on the weekend. This course gets a lot of play and therefore can be slow. The fairways are usually not very lush and the bunkers can be pretty rough on certain holes. But they're trying to improve them.

Is this course worth the fees?
This is a decent value for the money. The course is so near downtown Winston that it gets a good amount of play just because of location. I would spend a few more $$$ and play the slightly higher priced more upscale courses in the area but in a pinch, there's usually a tee time open. And if you're walking, its a good value.

Grill offers quality food and beverages, made to order sandwiches and snacks.

Summary and opinions of this golf course:
This is a good course that offers some challenge but it's not terribly long or very difficult. You can do worse in terms of courses to play but you can do better. It's a solid basic course with out a lot of exciting holes.
