Fees and Costs associated with this course:
Linden Hall charges $30.50 for Weekends and $27.00 for the cart.
History of the golfer who played this course:
Pretty much a weekend warrior. Pretty much shoot somewhere between 100 and 112. Mainly because I don't play regularly and haven't had a lesson in over 20 years. My strength is knowing the I am consistently inconsistent.
Specific likes about this course:
It has been a year since I last played Linden Hall. The course is sent on an old mansion property and can be a very nice course to play. It doesn't seem to get to busy were you have to wait a lot.
Dislikes about this course:
From what I have been told, Linden Hall used to be an excellent golf course. However, the times that I have played it, it is not in that great of shape. Its seems to have been neglected. I have had to retrieve balls from sand traps because I didn't feel like being stung by ground bees, the pay to fish lake that is on the course is moss and lily covered and has a lot of weeds growing up around it.
Is this course worth the fees?
I don't know if it is worth it to play this course until new management takes over the golf course and puts some money into revitalizing the course.
19th Hole: What extra amenities did this course offer?
There is a restaurant and snack bar. Weddings and banquets can be held within the old mansion on the property. I have not used the restaurant, but the snack bar had your typical fare. I did have a hot dog and beer, it was reasonably priced and the hot dog was pretty good.
Summary and opinions of this golf course:
Older friends of mine have said how great Linden Hall used to be, well, it does fall well short of that now. However, with a little TLC this could become a premier course again. I don't think any of the holes need to be change, just repaired and kept maintained. It is a fun course to play, just needs a lot of work to get it back in shape.
