Black hi gloss paint and satin sole and face no paintfill on sole in a pear shape head. Performance matches its looks. Cl X-1D 3 Wood - I purchased an Ashton Golf X-1D 3 wood off of Ebay for $50. I also purchased a UST IROD fairway shaft in stiff flex and had it pured for $50. This is my favorite club in my bag. That is saying a lo X-1 - I am really disappointed in the other reviews of this club head on this site. They all seem to be geared toward a website rather than the actual club. This club is not going to hit the ball for yo X-1 - I would rate the Ashton X1 as good as any out there. The real problem, for any golfer, is choosing the right shaft - what a chore. X-1 - This is a great driver head to play with; and will certainly help alot of people. I hope everyone enjoys playing with it as much as I do. One hint don't lend it to a playing parter , you might nev X-1 - I made a mistake by trying Ashton but at least it wont cost me much as I can remove the shaft and keep it for further use. I read a review which basically said that re-sellers that do provide a c X-1 - In general an awesome club for both distance and accuracy. For $349 you get a club with a superior head and a superior shaft. OEM's create a very good head but sometimes the shafts aren't up to afte X-1 3 Wood - Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with any sponsors. I hope all members can benefit from this expensive search. Like I said before, and quote Dr. Michael Austin, my mentor, "I don't care if it's a pie X-1 - Don't waste your hard earned money on Ashton...It's not worth the money...far from it.
