Golfers Invited to Start Celebrating 10th Anniversary of the Course at Wente Vineyards
In anticipation of its 10th anniversary celebration in 2008, The Course at Wente Vineyards is holding its “10 Days of Christmas” special.
From Dec. 15-24, all merchandise in the golf shop will be available at 10 percent off, and diners in The Grill can enjoy a 10 percent discount as well.
“We have several events and special golf packages planned for 2008, all in celebration of the 10th anniversary of The Course,” said Christine Wente, fifth generation winegrower and vice president of lifestyle marketing at Wente Vineyards. “Of course, the year is even more special to us, since it is the 125th anniversary of the winery.”
The Greg Norman-designed course, which opened July 15, 1998, is the site of the Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship. The Course has earned national attention for being ranked the toughest golf course on the Nationwide Tour, each of the past two years.
During the rest of the year, golf is enjoyed at a far more manageable level on the Greg Norman-designed course, which remains in peak condition. Lush fairways, intriguing greens and the relaxing countryside that route through the historic Wente vineyards provide unparalleled pleasure in every round.
